Your colors have been thoughtfully selected and now you're ready to order your paint. As a general rule, one gallon of paint will cover up to 350 square feet of wall space. So, how does this paint calculator work? Put in the dimensions of your room, including ceiling height, and it will calculate  wall square footage, not accounting for windows and doors. Then it divides the wall square footage by 350 to give you an estimate of how many gallons of paint you'll need, always rounding up to the next gallon. This will ensure you have enough paint for two coats.
